The Formula TKM classes have a new venue for their O plates next month and a new plate to race for. Rissington is the venue for the event with a new plate for TKM Clubman adding to the Junior and Senior O Plate titles.

The event takes place over the weekend of June 25/26th 2022 with testing on the Saturday and then racing all day Sunday.

It is the first time for a number of years that the Motorsport UK TKM O plates are not being held as part of the Kimbolton based TKM Festival. Explains TKM boss Alan Turney: “Running the O plates as part of the festival really made for a top-level event but it did put a strain on drivers wanting to race in both Festival and O plate. So, this year we try a different route.

“We are delighted that Motorsport UK have added TKM Clubman to the O Plates, so it gives those drivers an extra title to race for and underlines the format of the low running cost class.”

For the Clubman drivers it is a double event because it is also round three of the TKM Clubman Regional Championship. And for the other TKM classes it serves as a perfect test session for the British Kart Championship which takes place at Rissington at the beginning of July.

Entry fees at £110 for both days and closing date for entries on June 19. Control tyres for all classes to be ordered direct from Tal-Ko racing. Rissington point out that currently no overnight camping is allowed at the circuit due to MoD precautions. Equipment can be left there overnight and there are plenty of nearby camping venues.

Entries can be made via Alpha Timing and note that for the first time novices will be able to enter. Tyres can be ordered at
