KELGATE DEVELOP NEW BRAKE SYSTEM FOR TAL-KO KARTS
Top brake manufacturer Kelgate has worked with Tal-Ko Racing in developing a new hi-tech hydraulic brake system for use with its championship winning Veloce karts.
The new optional system has been tailor-made to fit straight onto the Veloce and is available as both an option for new karts or as an upgrade on existing karts.
The system uses a 4-pot caliper with springs designed to keep the pads off the disc minimising drag. It is matched with a lightweight ventilated cast iron brake disc which is 12mm wide x 195mm outer diameter.
The system offers easy to change and adjust pads which are available in soft, medium and hard compounds. It should be used with Dot 5 silicon fluid.
The complete system is available from the New Year at a cost of £250 + vat as an optional upgrade on a new kart or £695 + vat for a complete kit to fit to an existing
