BERNIE TURNEY AWARD FOR SPENCER LANE

TKM Extreme driver Spencer Lane has been named as the winner of the prestigious Bernie Turney Memorial Cup after making up 14 places in the final at the TKM Festival held at Kimbolton last weekend.

Spencer had started 23^rd on the grid after a disaster in the pre-final and during the 10-minute event clawed his way back all those positions to finish 9^th and closing in on the lead pack.

TKM boss Alan Turney said:” We normally present the award at the event for an outstanding drive, for example winning both O plate and Festival which did not happen this year. We have looked back at the results and recognised what a fine drive Spencer had put in and so the award is deservedly his for this year.”

Spencer will be awarded with the trophy at this weekend’s round of the TKM British Championship being held at Whilton Mill.
