Karting Magazine is joining forces with Formula TKM to give added pep to the trend setting 2015 TKM Club Championships which get underway in March.

This year three regional championships will be taking place with a Southern championship joining the Midlands and Northern series in what has become the most successful new development in UK karting in recent years.

With registrations for all three series now open until March 2 at standard rate, there is an added exclusive bonus to every driver who registers – free trial subscription to Karting Magazine for two months.

And in addition Karting mag will be giving great coverage to the TKM club championships in the magazine, its digital version and through its website at kartingmagazine.com and Facebook page.

It was in 2012 the first series was launched in the midlands with classes for Juniors and Seniors at Kimbolton, Shenington, Rissington and Whilton Mill. The idea was to enable inter circuit TKM club championship racing without the need to travel the length and breadth of the country. It proved an instant success.

Last year a Northern series was added racing at Hooton Park, Rowrah, Wombwell and Three Sisters and saw an immediate increase in TKM racing in that area. A Clubman category was also added to the Midlands.

Now for this year the Southern series will feature racing at Dunkeswell, Llandow, Clay Pigeon, Forest Edge and Buckmore Park.

In addition all rounds of the TKM club championships will this year feature a round at the Maxxis TKM Festival at Kimbolton in August with full TV coverage on Motors TV for both the event and the TKM club championships.

The events are all run as part of club race meetings keeping down costs to drivers. And this year for the first time points will be scored from final grid position as well as final result to reward drivers for consistent results in the heats.

The organisation and co-ordination of the series is carried out via through class owners Tal-Ko Racing with regular bulletins to all drivers and a newly expanded website facility this year.

Says TKM Co-ordinator Grahame Butterworth: “We were convinced there is a need for this type of championship and we have been delighted at the result. The feedback from drivers each year is used to fine tune the series for the next year. We really do listen and we want all our competitors to really enjoy their racing.

“The link with Karting Magazine is great because it will enable us to give lots of coverage to the rounds and features on drivers.”

Karting Mag editor Ben Cope said: ”We fully support TKM and this championship. It is just the type of club racing we applaud and we are very excited at this link with TKM and look forward to some great racing and reports.”

Full championship details are available on the www.tal-ko.com website. Registrations at normal rate close on March 2. The first round takes place on March 15 at Hooton Park for the Northern series.
