FULBECK TKM SPRING CUP PROVIDES PERFECT PRE BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP TEST FOR DRIVERS AND FUEL

TKM and Honda drivers taking part in the Spring Cup event at Fulbeck later this month will have the ideal opportunity to carry out final testing before the first round of the British Kart Championships in April.

The Fulbeck event over March 21/22 weekend comes just three weeks before the first Motorsport UK British Championship round at the same circuit. And special arrangements have been made to allow drivers to order the new control fuel being used in the championships this year.

In response to driver and engine preparation specialists last season, this year the fuel used will be 95 octane and with low cleansers. Vital will once again be supplying the fuel which will be sold at £2.08 + VAT per litre, and it will be available in a variety of sizes to suit requirements including driver’s own cans.

The Fulbeck TKM Spring Cup meeting takes place over the same weekend as the first round of the Rotax British Championship round at nearby PFI so TKM and Honda drivers will be able to order fuel, if required, and collect it from PFI to test that weekend. But drivers must be registered for the British Championship to do this.

TKM boss Alan Turney welcomes the move to change the fuel saying: “Many drivers are happier with the decision to change the specification and our initial testing has gone well. The Spring Cup will be the ideal opportunity for us all to give it a real track test.”

Full details on ordering fuel will be issued by Motorsport UK in a newsletter shortly.

Entries for the TKM Spring Cup close this Saturday March 14. Two days of combined test and racing on Saturday/Sunday for £115. Friday test £40.
