ABBI PULLING FOR W SERIES DEBUT AT SILVERSTONE

Former TKM British Karting Champion Abbi Pulling will make her debut in the W Series motor racing championship at the British Grand Prix this weekend.

The 18-year-old from Lincolnshire gets a big step up after impressing at a test day earlier in the year. She is currently racing in the British F4 car championship for her second year.

Abbi showed huge potential in her karting within Formula TKM where she took two British Championship titles and won both the Elite and O plate trophies at the Maxxis TKM Festival at Kimbolton.

Commentating on her drive this weekend she said: ” I’m over the moon to be making my W Series debut at Silverstone and I want to show people what I can do. I’ve never been to the British Grand Prix weekend before and I can’t even begin to imagine what the atmosphere will be like racing in front of a full home crowd. It will be a very special occasion and, whatever the result, something that will stay with me forever.”

The W Series has been created to highlight the skills of women racing drivers in a highly visible arena. Abbi follows in the wheeltracks of other highly successful female race drivers who have moved on from Formula TKM including Katherine Legge who has been hugely successful in the USA.

Abbi was run by her father Andy in TKM using Tal-Ko karts. Commented TKM boss Alan Turney: ”Abbi has always been an outstanding driver and we wish her good luck and full support this weekend.”
