TKM CLARIFY 10-YEAR-OLD START AGE INTO JUNIOR CLASS

A few parents have been unsure of the requirements for upgrading from Cadet into Junior TKM in the year of the 11th birthday, new for 2020, which has been complicated by the change of licence titles, so here some simple clarification:

Junior TKM is the only Mini/Junior class that allows entry at this younger age.

The child must have completed qualification from being a novice to a full licence with the required signatures.

They must upgrade to a National kart race licence (Inter-Club not valid for this)

They must meet both the minimum weight and height requirements of 37kg and 135cm. This is a safety issue.

The date they can move in is from Jan 1 in the year in which they have their 11th birthday whether Jan 1, through to Dec 31.

From 11 years old any child can enter so long as they meet weight/height requirements.
