MAXXIS TKM FESTIVAL AT KIMBOLTON GETS GO AHEAD

Formula TKM’s prime event of the year, the Maxxis TKM Festival at Kimbolton, is back with a bang for 2021 after a year off due to coronavirus.

Regulations have just been released for the event which will retain its unique format which allows novices through to experts to race side by side for a range of titles. New this year will be the addition of the TKM Classic class. And once again there will be grids for TKM Clubman and Honda Cadets.

Says TKM boss Alan Turney: “We are delighted to be back up and running for what has become one of the major annual karting events in the UK. Working with the Hunts Kart Club team we hope to put on a great event despite the potential coronavirus complications.”

Juniors and Seniors will be able to race in the Festival section with the top tiers being split off for Elite titles. And once again there will be separate races for TKM O plates with drivers able to race for both the Festival titles and the O plates if they wish.

TKM Clubman will race for the ‘F’ plate as well as scoring points in the TKM Clubman Regional Championship.

TKM Classics will be racing at the event for the first time.

And Honda Cadets will once more have a grid, an event which proved ultra popular for them at the last event.

Given that it is highly likely spectators will not be allowed, Hunts Kart Club are laying on live coverage of the event similar to that used at last weekend’s British Championship round at the circuit to allow family and friends to catch up on the action.

Full details are given in the regulations pack which can be downloaded at
