TKM BRITAIN’S FINEST EVENT CONFIRMED FOR BUCKMORE

The TKM Britain’s Finest end of year event will be going ahead at Buckmore Park as planned giving many drivers their first opportunity to drive on the tricky and exciting circuit.

The Covid pandemic had put the whole circuit at risk of closure but now it is back in operation for Motorsport UK licensed events being run by F100UK who will be organising this race meeting.

They ran an event at the circuit last weekend with great success signaling that all is well for the traditional TKM year-end occasion.

Planned for the weekend of October 23/24 the event will feature races for all TKM classes including Classics and the Clubman – for whom it is the last round of their regional championship. There will also be a Honda Cadet guest class.

Saturday will see all day testing, with racing on Sunday to include warm up, three heats based on front, middle and back grid positions, and a final. Full TKM technical support will be present with spares etc.

“It is fantastic news that we are back at Buckmore” says TKM boss Alan Turney. “It has always been a great favourite with drivers because of its setting in amongst the trees and hills with its undulating track which makes for a great driver experience.

“We are delighted that the F100UK team have been able to secure future racing there and we know from feedback already that many drivers are keen to get their entries in. We had a huge entry for the year-end event last year which had to be covid cancelled. We look forward to this one.”

Race meeting entry fee is £80 or £150 for the complete weekend including testing. There will be no control tyres or fuel. Access to set up will be available from 1pm on Friday. Entries will open at 8pm this Sunday, September 5.

Entries should be made online at https://f100uk.alphatiming.co.uk/users/sign_in
