GREEN LIGHT FOR START OF TKM PROMOTED EVENTS

Tal-Ko Racing, organisers of the Formula TKM classes, have confirmed an April start to its schedule of promoted events for 2021, crafted to meet driver preferences and the latest pandemic realities.

In all cases events will be held to strict coronavirus regulations as appropriate including digital signing on, briefings etc and wearing masks.

The calendar starts with a new event, the TKM Spring Cup, taking place at Fulbeck over the weekend of April 24/25. The event will also include the first round of the TKM Clubman Regional Championship. There will be optional testing on the Saturday and then racing on Sunday. May sees the start of the four round TKM British Championship at Shenington. Now with a revised later date to allow use of hotels. Each event over two days with no Friday testing. Only one set of slicks per event with tyres from last round used for test at the next. Registration £185. Entry fee £195 per event. Entries open this Friday at 12 noon. The TKM Clubman Regional Championship starts at the Fulbeck Spring Cup and is running over five rounds with four to count. Location for the September round now confirmed at Rissington. Final round location subject to confirmation. Used tyres apart from Maxxis TKM Festival. Included in four major TKM events. Registration at Clubman Registration - Online Shop (tal-ko.com). Dates:

The Maxxis TKM Festival at Kimbolton will be taking place over its usual August 6-8 weekend with its unique format of combining Festival, Elite and O plate titles. And for the first time it will include races for the TKM Classic class. It will also feature a round of the TKM Clubman championship.

TKM Britain’s Finest is due to move to Buckmore in October giving many drivers their first chance to race at this excellent circuit which has been closed for Motorsport UK racing. However this is now subject to confirmation.

 

The TKM Classic class also gets its own Motorsport UK licensed championship organised by the F100 Kart Club with a spread of six events with five to count. Dates as follows with optional Friday and Saturday testing:

Outlining the calendar TKM boss Alan Turney said: “We have studied the results of the surveys very carefully and produced what we feel is a very strong program with plenty of choice for our drivers.”

The promoted events are of course backed up by the usual spread of club events at circuits. All promoted events will be supported with TKM technical back-up and parts.
