TAL-KO ANNOUNCE FORMULA TKM CALENDAR OF PROMOTED EVENTS FOR 2021

Tal-Ko Racing, organisers of the Formula TKM classes, have announced a busy schedule of promoted events for 2021 crafted to meet preferences indicated from recent surveys among its drivers and the latest pandemic realities.

The calendar includes a four round British Championship, three special events at the beginning, middle and end of the year, and a five round TKM Clubman championship. For the first time TKM Classic events are also included in the schedule to meet the growing demand for this category.

Outlining the calendar TKM boss Alan Turney said: “We have studied the results of the surveys very carefully and produced what we feel is a very strong program with plenty of choice for our drivers.

“We have also considered the continuing effects of coronavirus which caused so much damage to events in 2020 and is still prevalent. In agreement with Motorsport UK we are therefore not starting the British TKM Championships until May by which time we hope the worst will be past.

“We are also limiting the travel required as a direct response to the pandemic, though interestingly the circuits we have selected are very much in line with driver survey results.

“Our hope is that 2021 can be achieved without problem and allow us back to an even greater range of Motorsport UK permitted events in 2022.”

The promoted events are of course backed up by the usual spread of club events at circuits. The TKM Classic class also gets its own championship organised by the F100 Kart Club.
