TKM Club Champs Northern

Northern NKF TKM Club Championship

The decision to move in this direction follows analysis of feedback from drivers which in most cases perfectly matches the Northern Karting Federation route.

Says TKM boss Alan Turney: “It became clear that to run our own regional championship would be very much mirroring the NKF championships so we are working with Malcolm Fell and his team in promoting their series.

The Northern Karting Federation is a clubman championship designed to give the Club driver a chance to go for a championship without incurring too many costs in travel and entries.  The idea is that the Championship contenders race in the club grids, therefore helping the smaller clubs at their meetings, and also giving the competitors a decent grid to race in.  The competitors race only against each other for points and, although they are racing with non-championship drivers, they do not take points away from our competitors.

The NKF do not run controlled fuel or tyres for the championship, although one set of tyres only is allowed per meeting and fuel to MSA guidelines is applicable.   The registration fee for the Championship is £85 and the entry fee for each round is an all in fee of £100 which includes Saturday practice and Sunday race fees.

The NKF Championship will be scored on a dropped heat and final basis  -  each competitor will drop 3 of their worst heat scores (from any round) and 1 worst final score.

As in previous years, and on request from drivers, they will also be awarding round attendance points which will count towards your overall scores.  Attendance points will be counted for every round you attend and will still be counted on your dropped score rounds.

If you like the idea of the Championship have a look around our website to get all the information you require but, if there is anything not covered here or on thier web site then speak to Malcolm Fell on 01229 463748.

Tal-Ko will be providing prize vouchers for the top three in Juniors and Seniors.
