TKM SCHOLARSHIP WINNER TAKES FIRST S1 WIN

TKM Extreme scholarship winner Matt England put on a dominant display in the first round of this year’s TKM National S1 Championships exactly a year on from his debut last year.

He was fastest in qualifying, won both heats and set a new lap record at Llandow. His only mistake cost him victory in the first final when he was well in the lead and went off. So in the second final he started at the back but still came through to win.

Driving a Tal-Ko Veloce kart powered with the latest spec big bearing direct drive engine also prepared by Tal-Ko, he left a string of experienced drivers trying to hang onto his tail including last year’s champion Joe Forsdyke, also on a Tal-Ko Veloce kart.

Tal-Ko boss Alan Turney said: “It was a fantastic dominant display from Matt. He has come on a great deal since his debut last year and this performance underlines why we felt he was a worthy scholarship winner last year.”

Matt England said: The Veloce kart and Tal-Ko prepared engine were unbelievable.  The motor just pulled and pulled and I could also enter and exit every corner quicker than the others which led to me breaking the lap record three times over the weekend. I cannot wait for the next round at Buckmore.”

SUPER ONE SERIES OFFERS GREAT DEAL TO TKM DRIVERS

TKM drivers are being offered a great deal in the S1 series, not least of which is the opportunity to win one of the coveted seeded numbers 1 – 10, exclusive to the series.

Last year the organisers were delighted to announce that the class national champions in TKM Extreme and Junior TKM will receive a fully paid up Super One season. And that great prize continues for 2015. All the race entry fees, the registration fee, dry race and one set of wet tyres and fuel costs will be covered for them in 2016 thanks to the generosity of Tal-Ko.

The series is televised on Motors TV and also available in High Definition on YouTube so your sponsors, friends and family can all enjoy your racing exploits at a time to suit them.  With Tal-Ko’s generosity the entry fee per round is discounted at just £160.

Worth over £2500 this is a prize very much worth aiming for during the season, whether experienced TKM or a newcomer.  The Super One offers excellent value for money, probably the best of any similar national or international series and all details are on www.superoneseries.com.

The Super One promoters are delighted to announce that privateers will be awarded in the 2015 season ahead with trophies for the top privateer in each class championship.  Prizes for the TKM classes will be announced in due course.  Singleton privateers who are not in a team awning should register with the promoter John Hoyle at the first round, to stake their claim for the new trophies and awards. Registering will not affect their eligibility for the top Rookie awards, given out at each round and at the end of season, which have their own amazing prizes.
