TKM CHRIS HART TROPHY
October's
club meeting at Clay Pigeon also included the cheque
presentation to Cancer Research UK of the monies raised at the
Chris Hart and Robert Bailey Memorial Trophies Meeting held in
September.
The event was a terrific success, with a very healthy
high-calibre grid of both TKM Senior Extreme and TKM Junior
drivers. The racing, held in fine weather, was very
competitive and close whilst still being good natured, with the
eventual victors being Daniel Graham in Extreme and Ash Crossey
in Juniors, who took away the Chris Hart and Robert Bailey
Trophies respectively.
The £3400 raised for Cancer Research UK was a fantastic
achievement, easily exceeding the pre-event target. A
massive thanks go to all the very generous sponsors and entrants
alike.
The trophies were presented by Martin Hart (Chris' brother) and
Sue Bailey (Robert's mum) and we thank them for their assistance
for what must have been a difficult task.
Ideas are already being put forward for how to improve the event
still further for 2009 and with the continuing success of
improving TKM grids at Clay, it is sure to grow in stature yet
again. This year's donation to Cancer Research has now set
a challenging new target figure to exceed!
